Dave Jese-Ross Jenkin – Partner

Dave Jenkin, as Partner of the Firm, provides a wide range of results-oriented services to clients including campaign strategy studies, campaign consulting, development assessments, board development and training, and major gift direction and marketing.

Dave brings a distinguished results-focused fund-raising career to AHM&P, with emphasis in the higher education field. As Associate Vice-Chancellor for University Development at North Carolina State University he played a leadership role in the largest campaign in the history of the University, which surpassed its initial goal by nearly 20 percent. Prior to that Dave was the Assistant Vice President–University Development at Tulane University, where he served as a senior member of the team which managed the nucleus fund phase of the University’s record-breaking fund-raising campaign. At Clemson, Dave served as the University’s first Director-Foundation & Corporate Development, and developed a program as part of the University’s first comprehensive campaign which earned the CASE/USX Foundation AIMS Award for Corporate Development, the institution’s first-ever award for excellence in corporate relations.

His philanthropic experience also includes 15 years with Bank of America, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President & National Sales Partner Strategist, Philanthropic Management. At BOA his division was responsible for grant making for 2,000 private foundations, distributing $650 million of client money annually.

Dave is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, having served as Vice President/ CFO on the Executive Committee of the Georgia Chapter Board. He currently serves as a member of AFP International’s Diversity Committee. Dave is a frequent presenter and lecturer, conducts workshops and seminars in fund-raising & board leadership, and is a Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) "heavy hitter" award-winner. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Planned Giving Council, and is a Past President of the Board of Directors of Leadership Charlotte. He was named to Charlotte's prestigious "40 Under 40" by the American City Business Journals.

The triple-great grandson of John Ross, Chief of the United Cherokee Nation, Dave was born in the Commonwealth of Virginia and earned a B.S. from Clemson University. He studied tax and finance at the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University-Bloomington.
